Seeing My God Grow Larger and Larger

Hi!
I know there are many others who have incredible success stories. Mine pales in comparison, although I am thrilled with the results God has blessed me with. I try not to compare myself with others but I will share with you in the hopes of being an encouragement. I hope you won't see this as boasting, but if you do, rest assured that it is boasting in what GOD HAS DONE!!! I've just been along for the ride!
I purchased the WD "Diet" book last September. I was in a TIGHT size 14, probably more like a 16 (my vanity kept me from purchasing larger clthes), weighing 167. I had never been on a diet before and the principles of WD rang true to me. God is so gracious! He gave me strength when I thought I could resist no more! In 26 weeks I had lost 26 pounds and in 7 months I was at 135 lbs. I am now at 132 and am in a size 6 dress, 8 pants. The only reason I put the specifics is to show that a loss of 35 pounds, although it may not seem great to some, adds up to a "big deal".
But even greater than the weight and inches is the closer walk with Jesus! I am notorious for experiencing "mountain-top highs" and "valley lows", but since WD, my walk is much more consistent. I find myself thinking of the Lord everytime I start to think of food, and although at first it was very "rigid", it is now out of a true seeking of Him....most of the time:)
I am more giving than I used to be ( I willing share my Ben&Jerry's with my kids:-D) and I am becoming more patient...THAT HAS TO BE A WORK OF GOD!!! God has given me too many jewels to mention and I am in awe of His love! It has not ceased to amaze me to discover that He cares about even the smallest detail of my life.
Through WD I am seeing my God grow larger and larger...although I still tend to make Him too small. My prayer is that I will never lose these principles brought out in God's word, pointed out through WD. A closer walk with God! THAT is rhe GREATEST success I could EVER have!
